Thanks for visiting my blog. Striving4Vegan is about embracing a vegan diet to improve my health. I have been struggling with autoimmune systems issues my whole life. Annoying. By looking at me you would never know I am not a 100%. I am relatively fit, never had any weight issues, look healthy and have always tried to be as health as possible. But I still feel pretty much like crap all the time.
I have been vegetarian for most of my life. Have been striving for vegan for a while, but is still not there. The hardest thing has giving up milk in my coffee. I am seriously considering giving up coffee. It might actually be a good idea.
Why focus on diet. Because I agree with the wise men behind "Fork Over Knives" that diet is key to good health. Some call a vegan diet extreme. It might be for some, but if it can make me feel better, live a more productive and balanced life I am willing to give up up animal products. I also believe a plant based life style is the key to long term sustainability. And don't get me started on animal right.
Striving4Vegan is about my journey trying to achieve better health through a plant based whole foods diet, trying new recipes, general life reflections and hunting for amazing vegan food adventures and finding balance in my life.
